Medical Billing Company Breaks into SaaS Industry by Leveraging AVD and Coretek Managed Services

EZClaim Medical Billing Software is a medical billing and scheduling practice management system for small to medium-size offices. Their tool offers a variety of feature-rich solutions and includes integration with several EMR/EHR vendors.
EZClaim came to Coretek as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV), supporting 12 different versions of their application. The EZClaim application is a mediatory payment solution between small and medium healthcare providers and large insurance payors.
Many of EZClaim's 1,200 customers used old versions of their application, and the customers themselves hosted some versions locally. EZClaim faced many challenges simply providing support for its application.
Coretek helped EZClaim leverage the cloud to shift to a SaaS operating model and ensure scalability and operational flexibility for EZClaim; they also partnered for managed services to support the solution moving forward. Phase one of the solution comprises the internal IT infrastructure leveraging Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), multiple servers, custom ERP, PaloAlto firewalls, and VPN tunnel for servers using GlobalProtect. Phase two of the project will enable Customers to access the new application using a remote desktop login and have secure access to their unique database of customers within the EZClaim application. During this engagement, Coretek also worked closely with EZClaim to determine the proper pricing, selling, and data retention requirements for their new SaaS solution.
By leveraging AVD, EZClaim will provide a highly available, resilient, consistent application to current customers and a potential new customer base. By leveraging Coretek Managed Services, they will also ensure quality long-term support for their infrastructure while building their core business and expanding their service capacity.
